Full-Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist Lead

About the role

This position leads the Central Accessioning team, performing a full range of laboratory tests from simple blood tests to complex analyses.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and communicate test results to physicians, escalating abnormal findings.
• Operate and maintain advanced electronic equipment, calibrate instruments, and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct quality control procedures and ensure accuracy of reagents and equipment.
• Assist in test selection, review literature, and support proficiency testing programs.
• Supervise laboratory assignments, act as a resource for staff, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years' laboratory experience.
• Required professional license/certification (e.g., ASCP Clinical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent).

Schedule

Evening hours, Monday-Friday, with weekend rotations and holiday coverage.
