About the role
The Infusion Lead RN oversees patient care and provides clinical and operational leadership in an outpatient gastroenterology infusion center.
Responsibilities
- Supervising nursing staff, mentoring, onboarding, and ensuring evidence-based practices
- Coordinating daily staffing and workflow
- Delivering direct care such as administering IV medications and biologics
- Conducting patient assessments before, during, and after infusions
- Monitoring for adverse reactions and intervening when necessary
- Educating patients on treatments and ensuring accurate documentation in EMR
Qualifications
- RN license in NY
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- At least 2 years of RN experience
- Prior supervisory or lead experience
Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency with EMR and MS Office
- Knowledge of gastroenterological conditions, treatments, and safety regulations (HIPAA, OSHA)
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Compassionate patient service
