Full Time Infusion Nurse

About the role

The Infusion Lead RN oversees patient care and provides clinical and operational leadership in an outpatient gastroenterology infusion center. The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with medical staff, and adherence to safety standards. Physical demands include standing, walking, and occasional patient assistance, with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily clinical leadership and mentoring nursing staff.
• Assisting with onboarding, training, and competency validation.
• Modeling professional patient care and fostering teamwork.
• Coordinating staffing and workflow to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Administering IV medications, biologics, and infusion therapies per physician orders.
• Performing patient assessments and monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Educating patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in EMR.

Qualifications and Skills

• Current RN licensure and at least two years of RN experience.
• Previous supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infusion procedures, gastroenterological conditions, and medications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with EMR, MS Office, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
