About the role

As a Kitchen Worker in our iconic venues, you'll play a supporting role in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. You'll operate a dishwasher and hand wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while supporting overall sanitation and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans, etc.
  • Scrub large pots by hand.
  • Maintain fast pace to keep up with high-volume kitchen and restaurant.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machine and three compartment sinks.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, such as ovens, grills, and food processing machines.
  • Break down dirty bus tubs.
  • Deposit kitchen and dish room garbage in dumpsters.
  • Empty, clean, and maintain all trash bins and compactor/dumpster area.
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, including countertops, stovetops, and worktables.
  • Sweep, mop, and scrub floors to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations by ensuring all eating/cooking utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
  • Avoid improper storage and rotation of pots, pans, utensils, etc.
  • Aid in unloading of deliveries.
  • Clean and organize specific areas of the kitchen space, including storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Comply with all company issues steps of service.
  • Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs.
  • Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with industrial dishwashing machines preferred
  • Experience with kitchen and restaurant operations preferred
  • Proper sanitation knowledge
  • Operation of garbage compactor/disposal
  • Restaurant bussing
  • Organization skills
  • Attention to detail

Qualifications

  • State Food Handler Safety Card required upon hire

Skills

  • Speak and hear to communicate effectively and use both near and distance vision
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items
  • Frequently lift/carry up to and over 50 lbs
  • Occasionally team-lift over 50 lbs
  • Continually use gross motor skills with frequent use of bimanual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle wet or fragile items
