Responsibilities

• Make lasting connections with customers
• Fill and rotate cases and displays (may include heavy lifting up to 50 lbs) while maintaining appropriate shrink
• Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep shelves full and product fresh
• Prioritize and establish work lists to maintain a steady amount of work for employees
• Ensure all grocery employees are following store standards
• Create and manage weekly work schedules for the entire team
• Train and develop future Grocery Managers
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary store

Requirements

• Friendly and outgoing, promoting customer service for the entire team
• Experience working in a grocery position (2-3 years preferred)
• Knowledge of stocking, load cutting, and displaying cases
• PIT Certified
• Motivated to grow career and continue learning

Physical Requirements

Frequent (15% or more of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift):

• Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 2000 force pounds
• Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, calculator)
• Reaching, standing, turning, walking
• Mental judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math

Occasional (less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift):

• Lifting/carrying over 50 lbs.
• Squatting, stooping/bending
