Grocery Department Manager
Position Overview
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality, freshness, and product assortment are maintained throughout the grocery department(s).
- Ensure receiving, stocking, and rotating product, taking special orders, training new associates, and providing exceptional customer service are done in a timely and professional manner.
- Achieve the sales and profit goals established for the department.
- Ensure that the work shifts of all department personnel contribute to the financial best interests of the store.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
- Requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire work day.
- Requires regular repetitive motion and eye, hand, and foot coordination.
- Requires hearing and responding to customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma - General Studies.
- 2-5 years of retail experience.
Skills
- Specialized knowledge: Strong computer skills.
- Special skills: Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.

The Grocery Department Manager is responsible for directing and supervising the department manager in all aspects of daily operations and activities of the department.
