Grocery Department Manager

About the Role

This position involves overseeing department operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring proper display and promotion of products.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees, assign tasks, and balance workloads.
• Maintain ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and sales of supplies.
• Ensure displays, promotional activities, and savings programs are properly executed.
• Inspect equipment and coordinate maintenance needs.
• Manage Not-In-Stock listings and address stock deficiencies.
• Inspect merchandise for quality, spoilage, or shortages.
• Oversee merchandising operations and collaborate with Quality Assurance Evaluator on contractor performance.
• Enforce safety regulations across all store areas.

Requirements

• Strong supervisory, organizational, and inventory management skills.
• Understanding of safety protocols.
• Ability to work in well-lit store areas and potentially challenging conditions in storage or receiving zones.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness.
