Full-Time Deli Department Manager

About the role

The Deli Manager oversees all functions and staff of the Deli Department, ensuring sales and profit goals are met while maintaining efficient shift operations. This role requires flexibility for various shifts and involves working in a store environment with temperatures between 50F and 90F. No travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
• Achieve financial targets for sales, gross profit, and minimize shrinkage.
• Accurately take customer orders and fulfill weekly supplies.
• Maintain product quality through proper processing, preparation, and packaging.
• Uphold a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Handle departmental paperwork and reports.
• Hire, train, develop, and schedule Deli staff.
• Perform assigned tasks as directed by store leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of retail or Deli experience preferred.

Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate equipment safely.
