About the role

Thorne Crest Senior Living Community in Albert Lea, MN, is seeking a Full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and evaluating the functional capabilities of residents to identify areas for improvement in daily activities.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance the independence and quality of life for residents.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans that meet the needs of each resident.
  • Providing therapeutic interventions to promote functional performance and prevent complications related to immobility.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • A minimum of one year of recent full-time work experience as a COTA in a healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Valid Minnesota Driver’s License.

  • Proficiency in using occupational therapy equipment and techniques.

Pay

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
