About the role
The Neighborhood at Rio Rancho in Rio Rancho, NM, is seeking a Full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in providing therapy sessions to residents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Document progress notes and maintain accurate records of resident care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans for residents.
- Provide education and training to residents and their families on activities of daily living.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- A current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- At least one year of recent full-time work experience as a COTA.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for improving the quality of life for seniors.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.

Pay
