About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include implementing an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists, assisting with all phases of treatment, communicating with patients and recording their conditions and responses, and providing continuous updates to the Occupational Therapist, Director of Rehab, and facility staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's needs.
- Aid patients through all phases of occupational therapy treatment and techniques.
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and document their conditions and responses in patient charts after each session.
- Communicate regularly with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Passing score on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
