Full Service Technician

About the role

Full-Service Technician responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of pole‑mount transformers. Must comply with safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies, read and follow work order instructions, gather parts and tools, and perform quality checks before units leave the workstation.

Responsibilities

• Recondition and reassemble pole‑mount transformers, including cleaning, inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing oil, and performing basic repairs.
• Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation.
• Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately; return equipment to proper location after use.
• Operate overhead crane and other material‑handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of tools and basic electrical knowledge.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
• Proven track record in safety excellence; adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Ability to meet department and production goals.
• Strong work ethic, excellent communication, problem‑solving abilities, cooperative attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn other department functions and fill in as needed.
• Completion of required company compliance and safety training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Lift 50 lb from floor to waist and waist to shoulder repeatedly.
• Standing and walking for long durations.
• Bending, squatting, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Climbing ladders repeatedly; maintaining three‑point contact while on a ladder.
• Comfortable working in heat and cold in non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing facilities.
