Fuel Oiler
About the role
Knife River is seeking a motivated and experienced Fuel Oiler to join our team. The position requires independent and team-based work, travel, and exposure to various shifts including nights and weekends. Candidates must possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Operate fueling equipment and vehicles
- Ensure fueling operations are conducted safely and efficiently
- Work closely with other team members to maintain equipment and ensure operational readiness
- Travel to various job sites as needed
- Handle hazardous materials according to regulations
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fueling equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Fuel Oiler
- Extensive knowledge of heavy construction equipment
- Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Skills
- Proficiency with fueling equipment and vehicles
- Understanding of heavy construction equipment operation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and regulations
