Fuel Oiler

About the role

Knife River is seeking a motivated and experienced Fuel Oiler to join our team. The position requires independent and team-based work, travel, and exposure to various shifts including nights and weekends. Candidates must possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate fueling equipment and vehicles
• Ensure fueling operations are conducted safely and efficiently
• Work closely with other team members to maintain equipment and ensure operational readiness
• Travel to various job sites as needed
• Handle hazardous materials according to regulations
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fueling equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Fuel Oiler
• Extensive knowledge of heavy construction equipment
• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Skills

• Proficiency with fueling equipment and vehicles
• Understanding of heavy construction equipment operation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and regulations
