FSQA Technician Third Shift

Provides guidance and leadership to production personnel regarding food safety measures and practices. Ensures all customer concerns and complaints are handled with professionalism and care. Applies available tools and resources to meet food specifications and production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure compliance with the food safety system; perform formal audits on GMPs.
  • Ensure training of facility personnel on GMPs, risk preventive controls, hazard analysis, prerequisite programs, and other applicable food safety system elements.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections.
  • Collect and analyze product samples as required; document information derived from analysis.
  • Maintain records of all facility analytical results; immediately report out-of-specification results to the QA supervisor.
  • Provide documented reports of analytical results to the QA supervisor; track and report data trends.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials; assist in investigating non-conformance and product complaints.
  • Provide leadership for the facility team in performing self-audits.
  • Host visitors to the facility, including regulatory agency representatives, customer representatives, and third-party auditors.
  • Ensure product is processed to company HACCP/HARPC programs.
  • Inform Quality Assurance Management of any food safety concerns.
  • Implement and manage food safety corrective actions.
  • Assist local and corporate management in carrying out changes to the food safety system.
  • Assist in creating, reviewing, authenticating, and maintaining food safety system documents, including SOPs and programs.
  • Maintain document registers and documentation in collaboration with the quality assurance team.
  • Demonstrate innovation, resourcefulness, and a proactive disposition committed to continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadline.
  • Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Handle other duties as assigned by QA supervisor and QA manager.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role.
  • Utilize soft skills to maintain good relationships with customers and production personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Computer skills, including basic Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solve.
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask.
  • Ability to perform basic mental math.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior quality assurance experience.
  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable FDA regulations and GMPs.
  • Experience performing administrative work, including completing and reconciling paperwork.

Working Conditions

  • Largely a static role with standing; repetitive bending and standing required.
  • Ability to lift 10-35 lbs repetitively and up to 45 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs on rollers occasionally.
  • Operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (around 35°F) within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production facility.
  • Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for the duration of the shift.
  • Facility processes, packs, and stores products containing allergenic food ingredients as referenced by the FDA; team members may come in direct contact with these ingredients.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Third Shift)
