FS Warehouse Sr. Storekeeper
About the role
The FS Warehouse Sr. Storekeeper performs duties related to the warehouse inventory and material management functions on behalf of Facilities Services. Under the general supervision of the Procurement & Material Inventory Manager, the FS Warehouse Sr. Storekeeper ensures compliance with internal audit, UCR/UCOP policies, procedures and guidelines as it pertains to operating an inventorial warehouse of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) material. Responsible for the end-to-end management of supplies, equipment and materials. Key duties include receiving and inspecting incoming goods for quality and accuracy, maintaining precise inventory records, and ensuring the secure storage and issuance of stock. Collaborates with procurement transactors to order, restock and contact vendors for price comparisons.

Requirements
Work in a safe and responsible manner while not putting self or others at risk. Comply with applicable policies and procedures and regulations, using personal safety gear, observing warning signs, learning about potential hazards and reporting unsafe conditions. Must be able to exert well-paced mobility of up to four hours in length and stand continuously throughout an eight hour shift on uncarpeted surfaces. Must be able to move 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally following proper safety guidelines. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, push, pull, reach and crouch for extended periods of time, as required to complete job assignments. Ability to work in temperature extremes, continuous noise and physical environments.

- General knowledge of standard warehouse procedures
- Knowledge of and experience with inventory control functions, including experience in physical inventory counts, receiving and storage of materials and first in first out (FIFO) methods
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, compute ratios, rates and percentages
- Knowledge of and experience with warehouse and maintenance and repair operations (MRO) related inventory
- General knowledge of storekeeping methods and practices including packing and shipping a wide variety of commodities
Qualifications
- Current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position
- Two years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse in the performance of work involving the receipt, storage, and issuance of a variety of supplies, material, and equipment, or a combination of experience and education/training
- Experience operating a forklift
- Experience in maintenance and repair operations
- Experience in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as FAMIS 360
- Experience in Oracle Procurement

Pay
The full salary range for the Sr. Storekeeper is $23.80 - $33.36 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $23.80 is up to $28.47 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Schedule
Shifts are typically 8 hours long, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility based on departmental needs. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
