About the role

The Manager at LOCAL Public Eatery is responsible for leading a dynamic and fearless team, fostering a collaborative environment, and delivering an unexpectedly memorable experience for guests and the community.

Responsibilities

• Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment through exemplary leadership.
• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Exude professionalism, friendliness, and fun towards fellow partners, guests, vendors, business associates, etc.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.
• Aid in managing store sales, budgets, cost of goods, and labor.
• Supervise and guide service and experience standards and provide impactful coaching as needed.
• Build sales opportunities and positive guest experiences.
• Assist with recruitment needs, impact positive candidate experience and selection, and retain your team.
• Support with training and development of technical knowledge and execution.
• Communicate daily focus and feedback to service and kitchen teams.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years leadership experience (or high potential with less experience).
• Team leadership - natural born leader in any crowd; bring out the best and connect with others to build your team.
• Interest in honing hospitality and sales building skills.
• Continuous growth and learning mindset.
• Valid local and/or state Food Handler and Alcohol Server/Seller permits.
• Ability to walk, stand for prolonged periods, bend, reach, stretch, perform repetitive manual tasks, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Agility - respond quickly to changing environments.
• Curiosity - question the way things are done with a drive to make them better.
• Humility - be ok with not always having the answer; put your team's needs first.
• Integrity - be honest, real, and consistent; take pride in who you are and what you say.
