Job Description

Enlighten is looking for a motivated Frontend Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our users. Asking questions, failing fast, and writing maintainable code are at the center of what we do while building applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Aid in the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
  • Write JavaScript, CSS, and HTML code and conduct code reviews.
  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to develop comprehensive user experiences.
  • Define and interact with REST-based APIs.
  • Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and provide support.
  • Write unit tests and perform quality assurance testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Clearance Requirement: Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.
  • At least 5 years of experience with front-end software development/engineering with a B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in related field; or 9 years relevant experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and proficiency in one or more web application frameworks (such as Vue, React, Angular, or Backbone).
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
  • Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
  • Self-motivated; capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing open issues/tickets.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

Preferred Requirements

  • Current Clearances: Active Secret or Top Secret clearances are a strong plus.
  • Previous experience with a Data Lake/Warehouse.
  • DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer.

Pay

Anticipated Salary Range: $115,199.00 - $140,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration which include, but are not limited to, the role's function, internal equity, and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications, and key skills. Occasionally positions/roles may include additional non-recurrent compensation and will be addressed by the recruiter during the interview process.

Schedule

Work is performed in a hybrid environment with an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
