Job Description

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Aid in the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
  • JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review.
  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
  • Define and interact with REST based API’s.
  • Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and provide support.
  • Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Clearance Requirement: Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills: 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
  • Operating System: Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly; Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
  • Hybrid Environment: Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

Preferred Requirements

  • Clearances: Active Secret or Top Secret clearances are a strong plus.
  • Data Lake/Warehouse Experience: Previous experience with a Data Lake/Warehouse is a plus.
  • Compliance Certifications: DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer.

Pay & Schedule

Anticipated Salary Range: $115,199.00 - $140,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration which include, but are not limited to, the role's function, internal equity and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications and key skills. Occasionally positions/roles may include additional non-recurrent compensation and will be addressed by the recruiter during the interview process.
