About the role
The Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness involves providing a superior level of customer service to members, guests, and fellow PF team members. The position requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various responsibilities within a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club.
- Assist members with any questions or concerns as they check in.
- Promote the Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members on the club floor and offering support.
- Resolve member concerns and escalate to a manager if necessary.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
- Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, cancellations, and transfers.
- Execute prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs.
- Ensure restrooms are clean and sanitized, and communal spaces are clutter-free.
- Regularly perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas to address safety/policy issues and cleanliness concerns.
- Address maintenance and facility concerns promptly, such as fixing broken equipment.
Requirements
- 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Physical demands include continual standing, moving, lifting up to 75 pounds, and frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
