Front Desk Associate

About the role

The Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness involves providing a superior level of customer service to members, guests, and fellow PF team members. The position requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with any questions or concerns.
• Help promote the Judgement Free Zone by interacting with members and supporting their fitness journeys.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate issues to a manager if necessary.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
• Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, cancellations, and transfers.
• Execute prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs.
• Ensure restrooms are clean and sanitized, and communal spaces are clutter-free.
• Regularly perform a comprehensive walk-through of all club areas to address safety/policy issues and cleanliness concerns.
• Address maintenance and facility concerns promptly, such as fixing broken equipment.

Requirements

• 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Physical demands include continual standing, moving, communicating, lifting up to 75 pounds, and frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
