Front Desk Associate

About the role

The Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness involves providing a superior level of customer service to members, guests, and fellow PF team members. Responsibilities include greeting members and guests, assisting with inquiries, resolving concerns, performing membership functions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club
• Assist members with any questions or concerns
• Connect with members on the club floor, offering support and encouragement
• Resolve member concerns and escalate to a manager if necessary
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries
• Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, cancellations, and transfers
• Execute prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs
• Ensure restrooms are clean and sanitized, and communal spaces are clutter-free
• Conduct a comprehensive walk of all club areas to address safety and cleanliness concerns
• Fix broken or missing equipment promptly
• Perform regular cleaning and sanitizing of exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities

Requirements

• 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness)
• Basic computer proficiency
• Physical demands include continual standing, moving, lifting up to 75 pounds, and frequent cleaning and sanitizing
