About the role
The Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness involves providing a superior level of customer service to members, guests, and fellow PF team members. Responsibilities include greeting members and guests, assisting with inquiries, resolving concerns, performing membership-related functions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club
- Assist members with any questions or concerns
- Connect with members on the club floor, offering support and encouragement
- Resolve member concerns and escalate to a manager if necessary
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries
- Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, cancellations, and transfers
- Execute prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs
- Ensure restrooms are clean and sanitized, and communal spaces are clutter-free
- Perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas to address safety/policy issues and cleanliness concerns
- Address maintenance and facility concerns promptly, such as fixing broken equipment
Requirements
- 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Physical demands include continual standing, moving, lifting up to 75 pounds, and frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities
