Front Desk Associate

About the role

The Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness involves providing a superior level of customer service to members, guests, and fellow PF team members while ensuring an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience. Key responsibilities include greeting members and guests, assisting with inquiries, resolving concerns, performing membership functions, conducting prospective member calls and tours, and maintaining a clean and sanitized club environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club
• Assist members with any questions or concerns
• Connect with members on the club floor, offering assistance and support
• Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager if necessary
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries
• Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, contact/billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships
• Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals
• Regularly clean and sanitize exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities, restrooms, and communal spaces
• Address maintenance and facility concerns promptly

Requirements

• 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided by Planet Fitness)
• Basic computer proficiency
• Physical demands include continual standing and moving, continual communicating, lifting up to 75 pounds, encountering toxic chemicals, frequent cleaning and sanitizing, and moving in different positions
