About the role
The Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness involves providing a superior level of customer service to members, guests, and fellow PF team members. The position requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various responsibilities within a welcoming and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with any questions or concerns.
- Help promote the Judgement Free Zone by interacting with members on the club floor and supporting their fitness journeys.
- Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager if necessary.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
- Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, contact/billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
- Conduct prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs.
- Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.
- Regularly clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities, communal spaces, and assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked and clutter-free according to the routine cleaning schedule.
- Perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas, addressing safety/policy issues and cleanliness concerns promptly.
- Address maintenance and facility concerns such as broken and/or missing equipment.
Requirements
- 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
- Basic computer proficiency.
Qualifications
- Physical demands include continual standing and moving, continual communication, lifting up to 75 pounds, exposure to toxic chemicals, frequent cleaning and sanitizing, and moving in different positions.
