Responsibilities
- Register patients
- Collect payments
- Verify insurance
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients
- Perform regular medical office functions such as answering phones, filing, etc.
- Answer incoming calls to the facility
- Relay information in an accurate, timely and concise manner
- Greet patients and visitors to the facility in a welcoming and friendly fashion
- Notify facility personnel of patient’s arrival if needed
- Accurately enters/scans information into the computer system as needed
- Conduct an efficient and smooth patient registration process while providing excellent patient experience
- Verify insurance information and obtain copies if necessary
- Obtain and witness the patient’s or legal guardian’s signatures on legal forms as required
- Collect deductibles and all payments and co-payments for services on the day of surgery
- Filing patient charts timely and accurately
- Adhere to all processes, policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office/health care setting
- Strong computer knowledge and skills
- Strong desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service
- Must be highly dependable and organized
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- An impeccable clean, polished, professional image
- The ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve and think independently
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate Required
