Fresh Cut Clerk I (Part-Time)

About the role
In this role, you’ll ensure our guests have access to delicious, freshly cut fruit and vegetable platters—perfect for daily life, gatherings, or special occasions. Your work in stocking and maintaining the fresh cut department will keep guests returning, knowing they can rely on us for their entertaining needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate stock levels in the fresh cut department by observing sales floor and cooler conditions, producing, stocking, and replenishing products as needed.
- Provide exceptional service by assisting guests, resolving concerns, and ensuring satisfaction—embodying our "boomerang theory" of outstanding service.
- Contribute to department cleanliness by organizing and sanitizing work areas, shelving, and sales floors.
- Monitor quality and food safety by maintaining accurate logs and meeting quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm.
- Honor commitments through regular, timely attendance and providing adequate notice for occasional absences.
- Support the team with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of safety requirements and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
- Equipment Proficiency: Ability to use power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work in a cooler, walk throughout the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. Associates must have full upper-body motion for lifting, perform repetitive tasks, and possess functional sensory abilities for monitoring the store and operating equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds is required.
