Fresh Cut Clerk I (Part-Time)

About the role
Join our team as a Fresh Cut Produce Associate! In this role, you’ll ensure our guests have access to delicious, freshly cut fruit and vegetable platters for daily life, gatherings, or special occasions. Your work will keep our fresh cut department stocked and ready, encouraging guests to return for their entertaining needs.
Must have availability between the hours of 5am–2pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate stock levels in the fresh cut department by observing sales floor and cooler conditions, producing, stocking, and replenishing products as needed.
- Provide exceptional service by assisting guests, resolving concerns, and ensuring satisfaction—making things right when service or product issues arise.
- Contribute to department cleanliness by organizing and sanitizing work areas, shelving, and sales floors.
- Monitor quality and food safety, including maintaining accurate food safety logs and meeting quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm.
- Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.
- Support the team with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates. Utilize strong written and verbal skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of safety requirements and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
- Equipment Proficiency: Ability to use equipment such as power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Stand in place for long periods, work in a cooler, and walk throughout the store.
- Bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
- Full range of upper body motion to lift product.
- Perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
- Functional sensory abilities to monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
- Lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
