French-English Bilingual Collections Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to support receivables management and payment recovery efforts in Greensboro, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can confidently engage with customers, resolve outstanding balances, and maintain accurate collection records across commercial and consumer accounts. The role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance customer service with effective follow-up on delinquent accounts. Responsibilities: • Contact commercial and consumer customers to follow up on past-due invoices and secure timely payment arrangements. • Review account activity, billing history, and aging reports to identify overdue balances and determine appropriate collection actions. • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, promised payments, disputes, and account status updates. • Work with internal teams to clarify billing issues, research payment discrepancies, and support resolution of account concerns. • Monitor assigned accounts regularly and escalate higher-risk delinquencies when standard collection efforts are unsuccessful. • Negotiate practical repayment solutions while preserving positive customer relationships and adhering to company guidelines. • Prepare collection-related reports and provide updates on outstanding balances, recovery progress, and account trends. • Experience handling collections for commercial accounts, consumer accounts, or both. • Working knowledge of credit and collections practices, including account follow-up and delinquency resolution. • Ability to interpret billing details, account records, and aging information with a high level of accuracy. • Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer outreach and internal coordination. • Organized approach to managing multiple accounts, deadlines, and follow-up activities. • Proficiency with standard office systems and collection documentation processes. • Sound judgment and customer service skills when discussing sensitive payment matters.
