Freight Operations Coordinator

Job Summary

We're hiring a Logistics Coordinator to join the Southland Transportation team in Hickory, NC. The ideal candidate will manage freight, build carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage freight operations, including tracking shipments and ensuring timely delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure reliable service
• Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to optimize costs and improve profitability
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications
