Freight Brokerage Sales Manager

Duties and Accountabilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 12 freight brokerage sales representatives.
  • Drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth across truckload, LTL, and freight solutions.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, and performance discussions.
  • Maintain sales activity, pipeline development, and key performance metrics.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.
  • Aid in developing pricing strategies, conducting customer presentations, and closing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure CRM compliance, pipeline accuracy, and adherence to sales processes.
  • Support the implementation of sales best practices and operational alignment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of freight brokerage sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of truckload brokerage, spot and contract freight, margin management, and customer acquisition.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Prior Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior freight brokerage sales leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM, TAI TMS, Greenscreens, DAT, Truckstop, Highway, and Cargo Chief preferred.

Physical Capabilities and Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work at a computer throughout the day.
  • Effective communication in person, by phone, and through virtual meetings.
  • Occasional lifting of office materials up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout an office environment.
