Fractional Commercial Counsel

Latitude is seeking an experienced attorney for a part-time, remote in-house contract engagement with a fast-growing life sciences company. The successful candidate will be a highly responsive, efficient, and adaptable utility player ready to contribute during a period of growth.

About the role

This is a fractional commercial counsel position requiring substantial experience with commercial contracts and transactional matters. Generalist-level experience with real estate and employment/HR law is preferred. The role is fully remote, based in the Central or Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial contracts and transactional work for a life sciences client.
• Provide generalist support in real estate and employment/HR law matters as needed.
• Serve as a responsive, adaptable utility player in a fast-paced growth environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of attorney experience.
• Substantial experience with commercial contracts and transactional work.
• Experience representing clients in the life sciences industry is strongly preferred.
• Generalist-level experience with real estate matters is preferred.
• Generalist-level experience with employment law is preferred.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and strong professional references.

Position Details

This is a contract engagement lasting 3+ months, part-time, and fully remote from the Central or Eastern time zones.

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $175,000 to $220,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference.
