About the role
This is more than a sales role. It is a chance to help create the foundation of a new insurance agency and shape how it serves families, individuals, and local businesses from day one.
Responsibilities
- Help shape the direction of a new insurance agency from the ground up
- Build strong relationships with clients, business owners, and community members in and around Presque Isle
- Develop and manage a book of business through thoughtful prospecting and follow-up
- Guide clients through coverage options in a way that feels clear, honest, and personal
- Identify opportunities to protect clients more fully with the right mix of policies and services
- Work closely with leadership to grow the agency in a steady and intentional way
- Represent The Atlantic District with professionalism, warmth, and care
Requirements
- Active insurance license or ability to obtain required licensing in Maine
- Proven experience in insurance sales, agency operations, or a closely related field
- Strong knowledge of personal and/or commercial insurance products
- Ability to build trust quickly and communicate clearly with clients
- Comfort with prospecting, relationship-building, and closing new business
- Experience working independently and making sound day-to-day decisions
- Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting tools, and digital communication platforms
