About the role

This is more than a sales role. It is a chance to help create the foundation of a new insurance agency and shape how it serves families, individuals, and local businesses from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the direction of a new insurance agency from the ground up
  • Build strong relationships with clients, business owners, and community members in and around Presque Isle
  • Develop and manage a book of business through thoughtful prospecting and follow-up
  • Guide clients through coverage options in a way that feels clear, honest, and personal
  • Identify opportunities to protect clients more fully with the right mix of policies and services
  • Work closely with leadership to grow the agency in a steady and intentional way
  • Represent The Atlantic District with professionalism, warmth, and care

Requirements

  • Active insurance license or ability to obtain required licensing in Maine
  • Proven experience in insurance sales, agency operations, or a closely related field
  • Strong knowledge of personal and/or commercial insurance products
  • Ability to build trust quickly and communicate clearly with clients
  • Comfort with prospecting, relationship-building, and closing new business
  • Experience working independently and making sound day-to-day decisions
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting tools, and digital communication platforms
