Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted insurance resource for clients, helping them understand their options and make informed decisions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing policyholders
- Identify coverage needs and recommend policies that fit each client’s situation
- Support the growth of the agency through prospecting, referrals, and consistent follow-up
- Review renewals, policy changes, and account updates with care and accuracy
- Respond to client questions with patience, clarity, and timely service
- Work closely with the agency to help deliver a smooth and dependable customer experience
- Keep accurate records of client activity, quotes, and sales progress in the CRM
- Stay current on insurance products, carrier guidelines, and industry updates
Requirements
- Property and Casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain one
- Experience in insurance sales, account management, or a related client-facing role
- Strong communication skills with a clear, professional phone presence
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
- Comfort using CRM systems and basic office technology
- An organized approach to tracking follow-ups, renewals, and client needs
- Knowledge of personal lines, commercial lines, or both, preferred
- Previous experience with agency partnership or business development, preferred
- Local knowledge of the Saint Johnsbury, Vermont area, preferred
