Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted insurance resource for clients, helping them understand their options and make informed decisions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing policyholders
  • Identify coverage needs and recommend policies that fit each client’s situation
  • Support the growth of the agency through prospecting, referrals, and consistent follow-up
  • Review renewals, policy changes, and account updates with care and accuracy
  • Respond to client questions with patience, clarity, and timely service
  • Work closely with the agency to help deliver a smooth and dependable customer experience
  • Keep accurate records of client activity, quotes, and sales progress in the CRM
  • Stay current on insurance products, carrier guidelines, and industry updates

Requirements

  • Property and Casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain one
  • Experience in insurance sales, account management, or a related client-facing role
  • Strong communication skills with a clear, professional phone presence
  • Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Comfort using CRM systems and basic office technology
  • An organized approach to tracking follow-ups, renewals, and client needs
  • Knowledge of personal lines, commercial lines, or both, preferred
  • Previous experience with agency partnership or business development, preferred
  • Local knowledge of the Saint Johnsbury, Vermont area, preferred
