About the role

A Foundation Room Bartender will be responsible for serving guests good and beverage within a high volume, fast paced, and often loud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shift
  • Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Assist other employees as needed
  • Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
  • Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies
  • Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
  • Negotiate with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor, cultivating repeat business
  • Suggestively sell menu items to guests, making drink pairing recommendations
  • Take and deliver food and beverage orders promptly
  • Prioritize and organize drink orders
  • Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systems utilizing liquid measuring tools for consistency
  • Welcome and acknowledge Foundation Room members, Live Nation Executives and VIPs to instill appreciation for their membership and patronage

  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent (paid training will be provided)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a high volume, fast paced work environment (specifically upscale dining)
  • Experience recognizing valid ID's
  • Cash handling experience
  • Beer, Wine & Liquor knowledge, current with latest drink trends
  • Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS
