Foster Care/Host Home Provider

About the role

Become a Foster Care / Host Home Provider and make a positive impact on someone’s life by opening your home to an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities. This independently contracted position provides a 24/7 family-like setting for an individual in the Austin, TX area.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and comfortable home for an individual with disabilities.
• Ensure the basic physical and emotional needs required for the individual to live a high-quality life.
• Establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual you house and support.
• Complete supervisory visits in your home as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional is required.
• Successfully complete trainings through Community Options.

Pay

Host Home Providers are contracted and reimbursed at a per-diem rate plus receive monthly room and board from the individual they support. This income is tax exempt.
