A Day in the Life of a Host Home Provider/Caregiver

You and your family have the opportunity to open your hearts and home to an adult with developmental disabilities or a brain injury.

• Provide care, support, and mentorship in areas of daily living, accessing community resources, and finding employment.
• Ensure nutritious meals, assist with personal hygiene, provide transportation, ensure access to community activities, and provide supervision based on their needs.
• Act as their advocate, keeping their best interests in mind.
• Enjoy making a difference by providing the support and companionship the person you care for needs to thrive.

Qualifications

• 21 years old or older
• Have a private room available in your home
• Each person 12 years old or older living in the home must pass a background check
• Complete a home certification process prior to placement
• Have a safe, suitable home
• Settings can include basement apartments, spare rooms, accessory dwellings, etc.
• Ground floor or wheelchair accessible settings are in high demand
