About the role

The role involves providing care and support to children in foster care. The program aims to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of the children under their care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and care to children in foster care
  • Ensure the children’s physical and emotional needs are met
  • Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Attend regular meetings with caseworkers and other relevant parties to discuss progress and address issues
  • Support the children in developing positive relationships and social skills
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities provided by the organization

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Experience working with children in a caregiving capacity
  • Pass a background check and criminal history review
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to the welfare and growth of children

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (social work, psychology, etc.)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a caregiving role
  • Knowledge of child development and psychology
  • Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution

Skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

The pay range for this role is $X per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
