Forklift Operator - Second Shift

About the role

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating equipment to move, stack, and count merchandise, ensuring accurate and damage-free shipments. They unload inbound shipments, store products efficiently, and prepare items for outbound delivery, including loading and staging using forklifts, pallet jacks, or handcarts.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other equipment to handle products
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and equipment
• Support a safe working environment and promote safe work habits
• Assist with inventory management and product handling
• Utilize communication tools like radio equipment for operational tasks
• Demonstrate a commitment to company values and continuous learning

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; forklift certification required
• 1-2 years forklift experience preferred
• Strong customer service, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs and work in varied temperatures and environments
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (desired)

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, sitting, heavy lifting
• Work indoors and outdoors around machinery and vehicles
