About the role
Forklift Operator II responsible for material movement within the facility and grounds using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Responsibilities
- Pull and load vending and cold drink equipment to fulfill sales requests.
- Secure outbound loads with protective wrapping and attach required documentation.
- Load and unload trailers, updating SAP/CONA systems for accountability.
- Perform safety checks, housekeeping, and miscellaneous activities such as staging equipment and yard maintenance.
- Operate switchers for maneuvering trailers to the dock.
Requirements
- Forklift and pallet jack certification.
- Switcher operation certification.
- Class A CDL if required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of safety principles and proper lifting procedures.
- Advanced forklift (single-wide) and basic pallet jack skills.
- Ability to operate machinery, read/write SOPs, and document activities accurately.
- Strong communication, math, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, noisy conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Preferred: Experience in logistics, truck/trailer loading strategies, and weight distribution.
Work Environment
Noisy, non-temperature-controlled, with high/low temperatures and potential hazards like broken glass.
