About the role
Ryder is immediately hiring full-time Warehouse Reach Truck Operators in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
- Navigate and correct potential process errors before they affect customers
- Identify and address damaged products during warehousing processes
- Pick and stage orders accurately according to carrier locations and verify quantities
- Create and maintain accurate receiving, storage, and shipping documentation
- Aware of and adhere to location and work center safety and security policies
- Train others in various warehouse functions, including powered industrial lift equipment operation
- Perform housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned
- Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience
- Ability to read, do basic math, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Proficiency in using a computer system for data entry
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime
