Foreman - Heavy Civil

About the role

Posillico is a multi-disciplined and diversified construction company. The Foreman provides leadership for one or more crews on heavy civil infrastructure and transportation construction projects consisting of highway, road, bridge, civil and site work to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Ensure safe outcomes for each project or task in accordance with the SSHASP, conduct routine safety protocols, participate in preparation and presentation of Toolbox Talks and Safety Huddles, and promote a culture of safety.
• Financial: Enter daily labor and equipment records, review crew production performance, and participate in selection of resources to ensure successful outcomes.
• Planning and Production: Meet daily with Superintendent or General Foreman to review and coordinate the schedule, utilize the Plan of the Day, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Quality Control: Coordinate tasks with Superintendent to ensure conformance with contract documents, ensure assigned tasks are in conformance with SWPPP requirements, and document each day’s activities with daily journals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy construction with at least 2 years as a Foreman.
• Capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and excellent follow-through capability.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and accurately process documents and perform duties in a timely manner.
• Valid Driver’s License free from serious or frequent violations.
• Able to obtain TWIC, DBIDs, or other similar credentials requiring a background check for access to restricted or government sites.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Works within an operating region that may require one-way travel distances of up to 100 miles, with occasional overnight travel may be required. Location is in Northern Virginia and/or Richmond area, reporting to Superintendent or General Foreman.
