This position provides support to the Civil Construction Team under limited supervision and reports to the Civil Manager in the Drilling & Completion Department.
Responsibilities
- Inter-departmental communication
- Pad construction and reclamation
- Pit reclamation
- Coordination of sound wall installation (if applicable)
- Drilling pad site handover activities
- EH&S contamination digs
- P&A pad reclamations and seeding activities
- Coordination of storm water maintenance
- Weekly reporting
- Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings, providing production operations discipline-specific input
- Develops and manages relationships with contractors and suppliers
- Handles invoice management
- Provides input into the budget process and collaborates with superintendent and management to develop budget estimates
- Confers with engineering personnel regarding project status and field-related problems
- Ensures completions and production operations are scheduled to minimize delays, safety issues, technical issues, and risks
- Confirms well site contractors are properly approved with SCM Group
- Actively participates in and leads monthly safety meetings as needed
- Provides relief for other foremen as needed
- Supervises contractors involved in workover and completion operations, including acid and fracturing operations, coil tubing units, workover units, water handling, flowback services, roustabouts, cased-hole logging, and fishing operations
- Supervises and ensures high-quality performance of all direct reports
- Participates in performance reviews and personnel development efforts for all direct reports
- Stays current with the latest proven technologies and methods for production operations
- Conducts regular field trips with the ability to work extended hours when required
- Coordinates and constructs drill pad sites and reserve pits per the basis of design
- Manages contamination digs, pad site interim, and final reclamations within safety, cost-control, and efficiency expectations
- Confirms correct pad dimensions and general condition upon release to the Drilling Team
- Works with Regulatory and Operations Teams to ensure compliance and optimization of pad and pit reclamation
- Manages costs by obtaining price quotes, bids, approving invoices, and tracking project progress
- Attends and participates in desktop review meetings and pad construction drawing meetings as a liaison between teams
- Ensures all work adheres to CIVI standards
- Reviews drilling operations and pad/civil construction schedules weekly to confirm progress meets timing needs
- Ensures safe operations for contamination digs and reclamations by coordinating equipment removal with Maintenance and Production Teams
- Provides weekly status update reports on current and upcoming projects, including commercial implications
- Serves as liaison with the Production Team to handle contamination digs and potential SIMOPS hazards
- Coordinates teams for storm water repair/maintenance and compliance reporting
- Supports operations teams as needed
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with industry/company software including AVM, Wellview, and SCADA
Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 8 years of oil and gas experience
