Foodservice Lead

About the role

This position requires performing foodservice operations as a designated Person In Charge (PIC), ensuring smooth daily functions, staff coordination, and compliance with food safety regulations. Typically performed in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as PIC during assigned shifts, oversee opening/closing procedures, and manage schedule coverage.
• Promote a team environment, encourage process improvements, and support staff development.
• Monitor food safety such as temperature checks, recipe adherence, and sanitation standards.
• Handle cash transactions, update communication boards, and manage equipment maintenance requests.
• Read and interpret patient meal tickets, verify labels, and ensure accurate meal delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Self-directed with leadership abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to train staff and act as a mentor.

Schedule
