Food Services Manager-Concessions

About the role

The Food Service Manager of Concessions is a forward-thinking, organized individual who will work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while supporting the Toledo Zoo’s mission to: Enjoy. Inspire. Educate. Act! This position oversees the planning, supervision, and coordination of all Food Service areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subordinate staff in food preparation.
• Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
• Meet labor, cost, and revenue standards.
• Prepare annual budget and income projections.
• Adhere to proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of Concession and Catering areas.

Requirements

• Preference for a degree in Food Services, Business, or a related field and three to five years of experience in food service management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Required certification in Food Service sanitation.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability by the fleet insurance carrier.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act, requiring time worked in excess of forty hours per week.
