Position Summary

TourToTeach, a role within the Walmart organization, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes providing feedback, communicating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, and business initiatives.

What you'll do...

  • Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during tours of stores.
  • Collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides associates in implementing business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, and follows the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
  • Respects individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Works collaboratively, builds strong and trusting relationships, communicates with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence others, attracts and retains the best talent, and empowers and develops talent.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years' of college;
  • 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience;
  • 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Additional Compensation

  • Annual or quarterly performance bonuses;
  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location);
  • Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges).

Pay Range

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes performance-based bonuses and may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure.
