About the role

The role of a Food & Beverage Team Leader at Target involves leading a team to deliver high-quality guest experiences, manage daily operations, and adhere to strict safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
  • Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviors and execution.
  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Lead a guest-focused, efficient Food & Beverage team that strives to deliver the Food & Beverage standards by completing the Food & Beverage Daily Standards walk.
  • Maintain a fresh, full and food safe area during all operating hours leveraging strong inventory management, area routines and Food Safety policies and procedures.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.
  • Model the execution of physical security processes in order to enhance the instore security culture.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
  • Effective communication skills.

Pay

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $27.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $42.50 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.
