Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner; explain specials and restaurant promotions.
- Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Record guest orders, repeat them for accuracy, and input into the Point of Sale system to inform the kitchen.
- Retrieve orders from the kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guests with appropriate condiments.
- Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages.
- Replenish beverages as necessary and check guest satisfaction.
- Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees upon request.
- Supervise and set up food and beverage preparation and service to ensure compliance with Banquet Event Orders and Catering procedures.
- Perform assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking supplies.
- Complete general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Present the check to guests promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety, and security procedures.
- Follow department fire prevention and emergency procedures; utilize protective equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or property damage to supervisor/manager.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per team member standards.
- Perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager; assist other restaurant personnel as needed.
Requirements
- Knowledge of all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Familiarity with appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Basic English proficiency to understand customer inquiries and communicate simple instructions.
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product use.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment, such as a coffee maker.
Physical Demands
- Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through crowded areas continuously during the shift.
- Constant standing and walking required.
The hotel operates 24/7, so shift days, starting times, and hours worked may vary weekly.
