About the role
We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Responsibilities
- Daily management of the food and beverage department
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Direct and assist with set-up, preparation and execution of banquets, parties, and special events
- Work closely with the Troon Marketing Team to develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues
- Assist the General Manager in hiring, supervising, scheduling, and developing bartenders, cooks, and beverage cart attendants
- Provide daily oversight of F&B accounting procedures
- Maintain cost controls and conduct monthly inventory
- Follow the PO buying process for food and beverage ordering
- Train front line staff on quality assurance and appropriate guest service
- Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with the Department of Health regulations
- Comply with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local/state laws
- Follow correct closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practices
- Prepares food and tends bar as needed
- Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen and bar at all times
Education and Experience Requirements
- Must have 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- Must have strong sales orientation
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
- Must have food and beverage/ a la carte and banquet experience
- Must have strong business aptitude
- Must have strong service orientation
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions
- Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
- The employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and hands
- The employee occasionally will be required to lift up to 50lbs
- Use of sight, reading, wrist movement to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment and clean food service areas
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Noise level is typically moderate
- Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
- Work weekends and holidays

Pay
$13.00 per hour, tips and gratuities from events.
Schedule
Flexible but does include evenings and weekends.
