Food and Beverage - Internship - Fall Semester

GENERAL SUMMARY

As an Intern, you will experience what it is like to be a team member at a world-class luxury Resort & Spa, all while joining a cohort of peers to learn, grow, and explore what it means to work in hospitality. This 16-week rotation internship program is designed to engage you beyond the day-to-day work experience; inviting you to participate in activities and events that cater to the specific interests and needs of today’s students. You will be exposed to various Food and Beverage outlets to gain a well-rounded awareness of The Resort at Summerlin.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guest Services: Assist in providing excellent customer service to guests by greeting them, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
• Food and Beverage Service: Support food and beverage operations by assisting with meal service, setting up dining areas, and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Administrative Tasks: Help the Management Teams by supporting daily operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and is a junior or senior in credit hours
• Applicant must be 21 by the first day of the internship to be eligible for the program
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
• Able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• No Sponsorships provided
• Must be able to obtain the following work cards if selected for the program:
• Valid Clark County Health Card
• Valid Las Vegas Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM Card)
• Valid Non-Gaming/Sheriff’s Card
