Internship – Culinary, Food & Beverage (Spring 2027)

About the role

The Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Universal Culinary program and large-scale theme park operations. The program runs from approximately January 2027 to April 2027, with applications closing on June 26th, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Completes hands-on training within Food & Beverage to gain a holistic view of large-scale theme park operations.
• Assists the Culinary and Bakery & Pastry Team Members to get exposure to multiple operations and styles throughout the resort.
• Performs duties within different venues as assigned.
• Presents a dish to the Universal Orlando Executive Culinary Team as a part of a final internship presentation.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Preferred majors include: Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or similar.
• Basic knife skills preferred.
• Prior experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.

• This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
• All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
